About the shop
Fifty years on Paarl's Main Road
Hugo van Zyl Sports opened in 1974 and has traded from the same stretch of Main Road ever since. It is a proper gun shop: rifles, shotguns and handguns on the racks, ammunition and reloading components behind the counter, and scopes, binoculars and hunting kit on the shelves.
Most of our customers are Boland hunters, farmers and sport shooters who have been coming in for years, and plenty drive out from Cape Town. Whether you are choosing a first rifle or looking for a particular classic, you get straight advice from people who shoot themselves.
